Better for me and for our bank account

I want to talk about something that I bought over a month ago. This is a subject for women only- not that men or kids are reading my blog but I wanted to give a warning.
I bought something called a Diva Cup. I had heard about a variation of one of these years ago but it seemed gross. I finally got tired of spending so much money every month for something that just got thrown away and isn't good for my body. I ran across an article about these cups that you use when your period comes that you can reuse for about 10 years. It isn't bad for me, the environment or our wallet.
I tried out the Diva Cup last month. I loved it. It was a bit messy a time or two but it worked. There was a small learning curve but I hope that this next time will be better.
Basically the cup is made out of silicone. You carefully insert it and you should only have to change it once every 12 hours. The cup catches your flow. You carefully remove it and clean it and reinsert it. The only time I had a problem was the first time I inserted it.
This might sound gross or strange to you. This might not be for you and if it isn't, that is fine. If you might be interested, do some reading about this online. The only regret I have is that I didn't try this years ago.

I've had one for several years. I had to cut the pull stick (I don't know what to call that part) back but after I did that I really liked it.

I will use disposables when I have to leave the house though.

Hi Michelle.
It is nice to know that there are other ladies using it. I really regret not trying it earlier, I can't imagine how much money I would have saved.
Thanks for sharing!
