Created to be His Help Meet

I thought I would do a little post on Created to be His Help Meet. I am rereading this book, something I need to do. In reading chapter one tonight, there were a few things that really stuck out to me. I was reminded that I am my husband's gift from God. Something that shouldn't be taken lightly. God said that it isn't good for man to be alone and I am the answer. Wow! That is really interesting. How many times do we as women feel unimportant or not really cared for, that I don't matter. But in reality I do. I am very important. I was completed to make him complete.
She reminds us that things are still the same, that God's plan for women is the same as it was during creation. "For man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man" (1 Cor. 11:8-9) It doesn't matter what we want, what our talents are, God's will is still the same. I desire to fulfill this calling in a manner that pleases God and in the end it will please my husband as well.
