Had big plans

Today I had big plans on how I wanted the day to go and all of the things that we would get done. To start the day off, I woke up late. When I woke up I wasn't full of energy, refreshed from sleep, I was sleepy and felt blah. My 4th child, first son, is not well either. He is throwing up today. He is so small that is worries me when he is sick. I try to give him extra fat and calories when I can. He has had problems since he was about 2 months old and that has changed him for the rest of his life. That is another story though. So instead of starting our summer schedule today, we are reading and relaxing and I am taking care of our Buddy (that is what we call him).
The weekend was fun. We relaxed and cooked out and played. We played a few games and then we finished off the night with monkey in the middle. It was fun and everyone laughed and laughed. It was so nice having dh home for the extra day. He calls those days his "lazy day" where he doesn't have much to do. It was fun and I can't wait for the next "lazy day". We also talked to the kids about Memorial Day and what it means. We also watched a show on tv about soldiers from different wars. It was a touching show and made me cry. The girls were able to see what it is like for those who survive the war and how they feel for those whose lives are lost, even 36 years later.
I hope you had a great and relaxing Memorial weekend. We did!
